Mar 13, 2023 · In 1842, Daniel Wadsworth founded the Wadsworth Atheneum, which is the oldest public art museum in the U.S. The museum has amassed nearly 50,000 pieces in its nearly 200-year history. The 47th Hartford Youth Art Renaissance (HYAR) celebrates the talent of Hartford Public School students in grades pre-K through 12. This juried show features artwork created by students and submitted by art teachers from across the district.
